What I am trying to do is show what a GREAT time the country was
in the late 1960's and 1970's. The world was a simpler place except for
Vietnam. I am also trying to show what a great period of time it was
for collectibles and memorabilia.
The collectibles and memorabilia could serve 2 purposes. One purpose
could be for investments and watch your collections gain in value. The
second is for strictly nostalgia reasons. I go both ways but mainly the nostalgia
route. I miss the 1970's real bad.
I grew up in the 1970's in a small Northern Michigan town. It was safe and
normal for the times. Not much crime. Definitely not a lot of violent crime.
Not any of the modern technology. We communicated by actually talking
to people and not just text or tweet. Communication is a lost art and all these
devices make for stunted people skills. I loved the fast muscle cars, Friday
night football, drive in movies, keg parties on the beach of Lake Michigan,
people that watched out for neighbors and helped them and the list goes on.
Those days are gone forever and the country and the world is becoming
a real crap hole. That is why I sometimes retreat into a simpler more fun and peaceful
time. Like the Troy Aikman commercial says "I dwell in the past". It is a good,
and safe place to go.
I will continue to post different things I find that I feel have value for money
or fond memories. I hope you continue to check out this little blog and all the posts.
Whether you might buy something I put on here is neither hear nor there
for me. Just that it might bring back a bit of a pleasant past for all you
1970's era lovers!
Thanks For Reading,
Scott
